  5. 1869. His invention allowed trains to run
  6. more safely with greater loads at greater
  7. speeds. In the 1880s he turned his attention
  8. to the generation of electricity. Unlike
  9. Thomas Edison, Westinghouse introduced
  10. alternating current (AC) into his power
